2026-2027 ROSTER

Head Coach: Kathrine Gilman
This will be Coach Gilman's 3rd year as Head Coach for IC Cheerleading!
Prior to coaching, Kathrine was a varsity cheerleader herself, and has had great amounts of experience in both game day and competition cheer. She received a Bachelor's degree of Arts from West Virginia University in 2016, and Master of Arts in Teaching in Mathematics Education from Boston University in 2017.
In her coaching, Kathrine is driven and passionate. She previously coached a high school cheerleading team in Boston, MA, for 3 years, leading them to a championship placement for the first time in their school's history, for 3 years! With IC Cheer, she coached us at our 2025 NCA Nationals experience, and helped us reach back into local competitions; earning a 2nd place win at 2025 Elmira College's Upstate Collegiate Championship competition, and a 1st place win at 2026 RIT's Cheer and Dance Classic. She emphasizes the importance of trust, growth, and inclusivity within our team. As she aspires to foster a supportive and collaborative team dynamic and environment, she will help us achieve our goals and aspirations for the next years to come! She is a great addition to IC Cheer!

Assistant Coach: Mia Emmi
Recently graduated with her Bachelor's in Occupational Science, Mia is returning to IC Cheer as an assistant coach for the 2026-2027 season!
Mia has been a part of IC Cheer since her freshman year, and is excited to continue involvement and support the team! Prior to cheering at IC, Mia was a competitive gymnast for 14 years, and cheered on her high school's varsity competitive team for 3 years. Now going into the 2026-2027 season, she is continuing her education as a Master's in Occupational Therapy student.
During her time with IC Cheer, Mia has been a quiet, but strong leader. She's held 3 e-board positions the last 3 seasons, and was a valuable team member for her all-around athleticism, as a tumbler, base, and mid-layer/flyer. In the 2023-2024 year, as part of Finances, she helped lead the team to raising over $10,000, which paved the way for the team travelling to Daytona the following season! In 2025-2026, as the President, she worked fiercely with IC Athletics, through many admin and recreation programming changes, to keep the team's season running- and through that, also helped reboot the Alumni Program. Through this season, Mia hopes to continue her leadership role through a different light, and continue building alumni connections, and serve as a mentor for all members.
Through many ups and downs, Mia has always put the team's interests first, and has done a lot behind the scenes. We are so thankful for the opportunities she's helped make possible, as we've worked to rebuild the program. She brings a wealth of experience on and off the mat, and we are super excited to have her stay and coach!

Given that IC Cheer is considered a club sport at Ithaca College, the team depends on its executive board members to make important decisions for each season, as well as handle all administrative duties for the team. E-board members have a wide range of tasks including but not limited to; event planning, budget request submissions, organization of fundraising opportunities, competition registration and travel arrangements, as well as management of all social media pages. The e-board works hard on and off the mat to ensure IC Cheer functions at its full potential.
